Twas the Night Before Kazakhstan

Our bags are packed. We have checked our list twice. We celebrated Kazakhstan Eve with our boys tonight. We had a special dinner, including wine glasses full of cider. We said a special prayer and even a toast or two.

We have been so incredibly blessed the last few weeks to have the chance to share our adoption story with so many people. With that, we have been filled with encouraging words and thoughtful prayers. We have been surrounded with love in the least expected places.

We should be nervous. I should be fretting over my first flight. We should be anxious about the steps ahead of us. But... we are not. We are completely full of peace. I can only give credit to God. He has tenderly nutured us through this entire process, gently stretching us out of our comfort zone, nudging us to take another step forward. We have completely surrendered this adoption to Him and because of that He has granted us peace.
