Sunday was a day off from visiting the orphanage. There are two other families here adopting children, one from Colorado and the other from Canada. We finally met here at our hotel. It was a stange feeling to be in a room full of English speaking people. We sat and chatted for over 7 hours. Cindy, the mom from Colorado, and I have so much in common. She has invited us over for a home cooked meal this week. I can't tell you how excited we are to eat fried chicken! Finally something we recognize.
Our visit on Monday was really great. Karina was very excited to see us and we had lots of activities for the 2 hours. We played with Play-dough, colored, tossed a balloon around, and more piano practice (just tapping on keys). Time at the orphanange seems to fly by quickly, it's in the room and other places that it crawls. Those are the moments especially, when your heart aches tremendously and longs to hold our boys back home. Ben and Sam, we miss and love you so much it is hard to describe. These are weeks, which are so difficult, we have servicemen and women around the world that are seperated from their families and kids for years. We don't give them enough credit. It has been a real blessing meeting the families that are here and sharing experiences. We did meet a shop clerk that could say welcome, thank you, come back, and Happy New Years! Wow, its only taken over a week to find that. We might visit him again. Thank you for all your prayers. Love you all.
Zdravstvujtye! I just said hello in Russian! Woohoo, does that make me bilingual?? Charlie and I follow your blog with much anticipation. It's kind of remarkable really, how we all feel so close to you and yet from so far away. We hope to get by and see Ben and Sam. We'll give them a squeeze for you!
